Risk Management

Risk management and loss control activities are provided for each member. The goal is to reduce claims frequency and severity. Seminars on specific risk management topics are also offered to all members.

The Risk Management Consultant acts as the bridge between SAIF and the individual member. The RMC coordinates risk management activities and analyzes loss exposures. The RMC also coordinates claims and administrative matters for the member.

SAIF retains J.A. Montgomery Consulting, LLC to provide loss control and risk management services to SAIF and its members.

PEOSHA Required Employee Training

SAIF offers training programs to meet PEOSHA requirements. This training is conducted by the MEL Safety Institute (MSI).

  • SAIF members have access to the MEL Safety Institute, which provides government required training sessions, workshops and seminars. Over 1,200 different classes are regularly scheduled throughout the state. Site-specific classes can be set up at the member's own venue

  • Online and conventional video library. 

STOPit

STOPit is a program that is designed to be a simple, fast solution to report inappropriate behaviors, deter unethical or illegal activity, and mitigate financial and reputational risks to schools.

Vector Solutions

Online training program with over 125 courses with 100% school-focused content. Vector Solutions features policy builder capabilities, automatic tracking, administrative reports and automated scheduling and email notification.
